The Kreider Connection

Racers For Christ

May, 2008 Newsletter

The warmth of the sun, the newness of plant life and a fresh outlook on life can all be a part of the spring season. Just like winter can wear old in time, our lives can lose their true meaning. We spend so much time trying to find meaning and reason in this society only to find that success often seems hollow. We retire from the career at which we worked so hard to succeed, or what we purchased new soon becomes old and worn. Could the problem be what we center our life’s purpose on? How often do we ask God to help us succeed at our dreams and wishes? When is the last time we asked Him what He wanted us to pursue and how to do it? Could it be He has things for us to do that will give us more fulfillment than we could imagine in our wildest dreams? I would suggest you consider making Jesus your guide and center of your life, instead of using Him only as an insurance policy.

I have taken rusty useless and obsolete old farm tractors and turned them into shiny jewels ready to go to farm equipment shows. God would love to breathe new meaning into your life if you will just give Him the opportunity. We would be privileged to be of assistance in that transformation if you haven’t already experienced it, or need to refresh your relationship with your Creator.

My experience has been that the best way to prevent boredom and disappointment is to follow Jesus! There are difficult times He will get us through, but don’t pass up the chance to put the top down and enjoy the warmth of spring blowing through your hair. Always make the most of each mile on this road of life!

Always smile,

AN OLD FARMER’S ADVICE

  • Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight, and bull-strong.
  • Keep skunks and bankers and lawyers at a distance.
  • Life is simpler when you plow around the stump.
  • A bumble bee is considerably faster than a John Deere tractor.
  • Words that soak into your ears are whispered…not yelled.
  • Meanness don’t jes’ happen overnight.
  • Forgive your enemies. It messes up their heads.
  • Do not corner something that you know is meaner than you.
  • It don’t take a very big person to carry a grudge.
  • You cannot unsay a cruel word.
  • Every path has a few puddles.
  • When you wallow with pigs, expect to get dirty.
  • The best sermons are lived, not preached.
  • Most of the stuff people worry about ain’t never gonna happen anyway.
  • Don’t judge folks by their relatives.
  • Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.
  • Don’t interfere with somethin’ that ain’t botherin’ you none.
  • Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.
  • If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop diggin’.
  • Sometimes you get, and sometimes you get got.
  • The biggest troublemaker you’ll probably ever have to deal with, watches you from the mirror every mornin’.
  • Always drink upstream from the herd.
  • Good judgment comes from experience, and a lotta that comes from bad judgment.
  • Lettin’ the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier than puttin’ it back in.
  • If you get to thinkin’ you’re a person of some influence, try orderin’ somebody else’s dog around.
  • Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly

Leave the rest to God.
